WHAT A WEEKEND...

And I don't mean that in a good way!

It all started Friday morning when Wyatt spit up his entire morning bottle all over me. I wasn't feeling so hot myself so I went ahead and stayed home with him and waited to talk to his doctor. They told me to keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't dehydrate, but not to bring him in. Well he seemed to get better throughout the day and we did go for pictures on Saturday morning which turned out GREAT!
We continued with our plans to have my family over for my dad's birthday. We grilled out fajitas and all enjoyed a yummy lunch. Uncle Jay also put up the shelves I bought for Wyatt's room so I could finally finish decorating.
Right about 5:30 when everyone left, Wyatt spit up ALOT all over me AGAIN. I tried to call the peds office since I was already nervous at this point, but the after hours number had been changed and the recording said the new number was not available! (peds office called first thing this morning and I told them about the after hours number, they apologized and will correct correct it) I started feeling more and more nauseous and Michael tells me it is just my nerves because I didn't know how to help Wyatt. Well about 2:30 am it became apparent that this was more than my imagination and early Sunday afternoon Michael believed me when it hit him too. We called my parents and sister who had not experienced any symptoms. I was afraid it was food poisoning from something I cooked (wouldn't surprise me-HA!) Michael and Wyatt and I just laid around the house all day Sunday feeling gross. By the end of Sunday, Wyatt and I seemed to be on the rebound so we planned to go back to work and daycare today. Michael still wasn't at 100%, but he went to work too anyway. Before work this morning, my sister called and said her husband was sick and she also talked to our parents who were also sick. Then my brother woke up later with it too. Once I got to work, I realized that a friend of mine and her entire family including her parents had the same horrible weekend experience. So whatever this little bug is, it knocked us all on our butts this weekend.

This morning I dropped Wyatt off at daycare and left them my cell number just in case he made a turn back in the other direction. When I called to check on him after lunch, his teacher informed me that he had 2 runny diapers and a 3rd one would mean that he would not be allowed back for 24 hours. Michael was able to take off work and go get him and take him to the doctor this afternoon. Unfortunately, Michael did not make it to get Wyatt before that 3rd dirty diaper so he'll have to stay home with Wyatt tomorrow too. The doctor told us about some thicker formula that will help with the diapers and also prescribed some gel for his eye which is a little infected. So all is well now and we are all on the mend. Hopefully Wyatt will be back on track again by Wednesday and we'll all stay healthy for a little while.

What a weekend is right!! The 3 of us are on the mend. I'm glad to hear the 3 of you are OK.
I love Wyatt's pictures and Jay did a nice job putting up the shelves.
Love, Mimi

Glad you are all feeling better! Thankfully we've avoided any family epidemics here.
