The upswing

Well this past weekend didn't go much better than the previous one. This time it was only me that was sick so that was an improvement. Michael jumped in and took good care of Wyatt while I slept and doused myself in cold medicine. I am finally coming out of this sinus infection and Wyatt and Michael seem to be healthy so hopefully we can all stay that way for awhile.

The warmer weather today was very nice and Wyatt was in such a good mood tonight. We decided to try to start rice cereal tonight so he can learn to take food off a spoon since baby food is just around the corner at the end of the month. We set up his high chair and strapped him in. I mixed up a tablespoon of rice and mixed some formula in. At first he seemed to like it, he swallowed the first two bites, then he was done with that. I gave him the formula I had already mixed in the bottle to wash down the third and forth bites he refused to swallow. Then every time I pulled the bottle out he screamed his head off and wouldn't eat anymore of the rice. He's been sucking down nearly 30 oz a day here lately so I know he needs more substance on his belly. All we can do is try again tomorrow and see how the rice goes. We'll try to get a video posted this week too.

Sorry no new pictures...I've been too sick to pick up a camera. But now with the nice weather, I hope to get some outdoor pictures tomorrow.
