We spent last weekend in Louisville with Mimi and Pop. First, we went to a baby shower to help Katie and Nick get ready for baby Emery. It was a beautiful day and Wyatt and Ella had a blast chasing each other around. It was a little touch and go with Wyatt at naptime, but he pulled through and they played very nicely together. He was tuckered out and sawing logs before we left the neighborhood!

On Sunday we visited the zoo for the first time this season. It wasn't terribly crowded but it was REALLY HOT! We saw a few of the favorite animals and then headed down to the Dinosaur exhibit. I figured Wyatt would go nuts over the huge animatronic dinosaurs and he did like them to an extent...but he didn't want to get too close to them. I think they were a little too lifelike for him. He kept a tight grip on Pop but then loosened up to dig for bones in the sand for a little while. After the dinosaurs, we headed over to the water park which was the biggest thrill of the day. It was a great way to cool off and again, always a great tool to induce a nice long nap!

Mother's Day
The weekend after Derby was Mother's Day and we celebrated at Rachel and Jay's house for their annual cook-out. Wyatt had fun playing with Cousin Nina and even brushed up on his cornhole skills.

Catching Up
So I've been a little busy chasing a two year old around lately and so I have slacked once again on my blogging responsibilities. We are definitely enjoying the beautiful weather and have been spending alot of time outside. I don't take nearly as many pictures as I used to either, but I'll look back through what I have taken and fill in the blanks since the last entry.
The first major thing that happened at the end of April was that Lita came to visit us! Michael's mom came up to visit for about a week and Wyatt loved having his Lita here! Lita and Hope even shopped, got all dolled up and went to the Derby...for a whole HOUR! Yep it was nasty and rainy outside and we tried to tell them...but they had to find out for themselves! We still had fun watching it on tv at Mimi and Pop's house instead.
