Over The Top!

We made our second annual trip to the circus on Saturday afternoon. Wyatt was a little too young to get it last year but this year he was totally enthralled with the show from beginning to end. He loved the elephants and clowns and clapped for the acrobats and thoroughly enjoyed the action packed afternoon.

Say Cheeseburger!

Ok so it's not the healthiest food in the world but just like millions of toddlers around the world, Wyatt loves McDonalds! He insists on eating like a big boy now, he refuses to sit in his booster seat and grips his cheeseburger with two hands. On Monday evenings, Daddy picks Wyatt up from school and they have a special outing while Mommy goes to Weight Watchers. Many of these Mondays involve wearing Wyatt out on the indoor playground at McDonalds or at Kids Place.Sinking his teeth into a good burgerDidn't your mother tell you not to play with your food???

Good Times

We had a great weekend with beautiful weather and we certainly kept ourselves busy. On Saturday we went to swim and cookout with Steve, Jess and Jayca. I took Wyatt's splash pool for the kiddos and we even rigged up a slide right into the pool which was a big hit. Wyatt and Jayca played together very well and Wyatt was sound asleep in his carseat before we left Georgetown.

Today we planned to get Wyatt's haircut again, it is growing so fast! But he was napping in the car while we were running errands so we chose not to wake him and Daddy just ran in and got his haircut while I stayed in the car with Wyatt. We wanted him to get his nap out because we were headed to Gattitown to celebrate Katie's 5th birthday. Wyatt's favorite part of the whole party was the carousel. He rode the horsies 3 times! They actually had some games and rides that he did ok with. Daddy won him a bouncy ball with one of those "claw" games. Then they had a kiddie version with a t-rex to win some dinosaurs. Mommy tried it once and failed and as I put the card in to give it another try, Wyatt hit the button and pushed the lever and whamo! won himself 3 plastic dinosaurs all by himself! I think he would have been thoroughly entertained just by running wild with all those kids...we will definitely put Gattitown on the list of special weekend outings!

Family Time

We drove up to Louisville on Sunday to visit with Memaw and Papaw who were staying with Mom and Dad for the weekend. Matt, Rachel and Jay came by too so we cooked out some burgers and let Wyatt entertain us for the day.

Good Company and Good Weather

It was a beautiful sunny day, for a change, so we decided to get Wyatt's splash mat out and let him run around for a little bit. Javi and Carol came up to visit for the day and we finally finished our stash of authentic pre seasoned fajitas from Texas that have been in the freezer since Christmas. Javi made some beans and rice and guacamole and we had a fabulous lunch and stuffed ourselves silly!

Wyatt had his baseball set out and was counting to three and swinging the bat, sometimes actually connecting with the ball. The water was cold but felt great in combination with the hot sun. He and Daddy went out for ice cream this evening and then to the park for a short time while Mommy took a nap on the couch. We went for a short walk up and down the street when they returned and then when we came in, we could see that Wyatt was walking around barely able to keep his eyes open. He should sleep very soundly tonight.

We'll be heading out early tomorrow to go to Mimi and Pop's house. Memaw and Papaw are visiting from Owensboro so we are going to spend the day with them in Louisville.

Get Down!

For those of you wondering why I haven't updated the blog this week...I have one word for you- Twilight! I'm currently obsessed with reading all of the Twilight books (four 700+ page novels) so I've been unable to do much else beyond care for my child and try to get at least 6 hours of sleep each night. I'm almost done with the last one now so next week should be more promising for blog updates.

In the meantime, please direct your attention to the right side of this blog page to the first You Tube video. It is Wyatt busting a move around 10pm last night to the Cupid Shuffle. Hilarious! I think we've watched it at least a dozen times today. Enjoy!
