Weekend Adventures

We had yet another action packed weekend visiting with friends and family. On Friday night, Aunt Hope came down to baby-sit Wyatt while Michael and I attended his Christmas party. We had a great time out by ourselves and laughed ourselves silly with some of Michael's cohorts...I mean co-workers. We didn't stay out too late because we knew we had to get up the next morning to head to Cincinnati.

It was already afternoon by the time we picked up Hope and met Javi and Carol at the Cincinnati Children's Museum. Michael went shopping with Javi and Carol while Hope treated Wyatt and I to an afternoon at the Museum. They have an excellent play area for little kids and even had plenty to entertain 1 year olds. (I can't believe my baby is almost 1!!!) We met a friend of Hope's (Stacey) and her daughter (Jasmine) who is just a couple of weeks older than Wyatt. They got along famously and I think Wyatt had his first car date. They even had a Clifford (the Big Red Dog) play room set up and since Aunt Hope has a Clifford (the Big Black Dog), we just had to get a picture of her with Wyatt in there. After we wore the kids out at the museum, we met back up with Michael, Javi and Carol for dinner at PF Changs. Carol had tickets for us to see the Christmas lights at the zoo. It was cold but we bundled ourselves up and fought traffic and the long lines to get in. Unfortunately, we just happened to take a different route than Javi and Carol and by the time they made it to where we were, the parking lots were full and they couldn't even find a place to park! It was ridiculous how many people were at the zoo on Saturday night. Hope, Wyatt and I were already inside the park so we did a quick lap while Michael unloaded some purchases from Javi's car. We saw polar bears and lions and that was about it. The lights were absolutely beautiful, but I can't get over how many people were packed in there. I don't know if it just seemed like more because it was dark and cold, but we didn't end up staying long anyway. Michael got the car and picked us up outside the gate and we headed back to Aunt Hope's house for hot chocolate and cookies...yum! We spent the night at her house and then headed back after breakfast so we could get some things done at the house before starting a new work week.

Wow!! I'm worned out from your fun and busy weekend. I'm sure you enjoyed seeing everyone. I'm sure the hot chocolate at Carol's and Javi's house was tasty after a cold and fast walk thru the zoo.
I like the picture of Hope and Wyatt with Clifford (the big red dog)at the childrens museum.
Kisses to all----Mimi

We loved the visit, and were sorry it went south at the zoo, but we're looking forward to Wyatt's birthday this weekend.
