Wyatt was sent home from daycare yesterday for having what looked like the beginnings of pink eye. They sent 3 kids home for it that afternoon. It sure didn't look like it to me, but it was only an hour before I had to get him anyway so I left work early to get him. I called the doctor's office because I didn't believe he had pink eye and I needed a note for him to go back to school if that was the case.
Since Wyatt is one of their favs at the doc's office (you think I'm kidding, but I'm so not), they told me to come by and they would take a quick peek at him. I walked in the office with him, talked to the girl at the front desk, she grabbed the doc for me and told us to come right back. The doc took a look at him and said his eye did look irritated and went to get me a sample size of the eye drops to give him, gave me a note for him to go back to daycare on Friday and wham bam, we were on our way out the door. How's that for service!?! Considering the circumstances of how we ended up with this doctor's office (long story), that place is a total blessing for us. They love Wyatt to pieces and the doctor actually jumped up and down and squealed (yes it is a woman) when I told her that we finalized Wyatt's adoption.
So since I had to take off work today and Wyatt really wasn't sick, we finished up some Christmas shopping. We went all over town, picked up daddy for lunch and Wyatt even got 2 new pairs of shoes. I've decided to put them on him everyday now. It's about time, I know, but he's finally walking steadily and better with shoes than without. All in all we had a very good day. I just hope they let him stay at daycare tomorrow so I can get some work done!
