Wyatt had his 4 month checkup and shots yesterday. He was a brave little boy and barely cried during and after the shots. He had two in one leg with a Thomas the Train band-aid and one in the other leg with a Shrek band-aid. We came home and I fed him some oatmeal off the spoon and he seemed to really like it. I gave him the rice cereal a few weeks ago and he did ok, but seemed to care less if he had it or not. I gave him some single grain baby oatmeal this time and not only did he open his mouth to the spoon, he was grabbing my hand and pulling the spoon toward him. He does like to pull anyone's hand near his mouth at any given time so I don't think he actually gets the feeding himself thing...but it was funny to watch.
The soreness must have kicked in around 7:30 last night though because he screamed his head off until it was time to give him another dose of Tylenol. He calmed down and went to sleep without too much of a struggle. He's been waking up around 4:30 or 5am lately wide awake and ready to eat so I'm hoping the oatmeal cereal before bed will help stretch the sleep out until mommy and daddy are ready to get up AFTER 6am!
He was 14lbs, 12oz and 25.5"

I'm sure Thomas the Train and Schrek band aids did the trick!!!
It's not any fun getting the shots but you have to do what a man has to do!!
