Well we are a few weeks behind, but Wyatt had his 6 month shots appointment today. We also went ahead and scheduled a home visit with the social worker this afternoon as well. Because of some scheduling conflicts we knew it would be a very quick visit with the social worker and she was in and out in less than 20 minutes. As soon as she left we packed up the diaper bag and headed over to the doctor's office. Unfortunately we were there for a LOOOOONG time and we sat around for about an hour and a half. I guess that is the downside of taking one of the last appointments of the day. But we did have a nice visit with a new PA student and then the doctor came in to check Wyatt out too. The nurse gave him two shots in the same leg and he turned beet red and screamed, let a few tears roll, and then was fine by the time we got to the check-out desk. Daddy took it hardest of all because this was his first time to experience shots or blood draw with Wyatt.
Wyatt was 17lbs, 8oz...yes folks that is half a pound gained since last Wednesday. And that put him in the 50th percentile for weight. He was 27.25" again which put him in the 90th percentile for height. He's following right along the growth curve and the doctor was very pleased with his progress. And he even gets a free pass on his next checkup at 9 months...no shots!

Glad things are going well. Our ped did a TB skin test at 9 months, but that was all. He looks wonderful! You must be doing everything right.
Wow, I miss the days when Katie recovered that quickly. :) Now she holds a grudge. Our ped's office has warned us several times that the 4-yr-old checkup is a BAD one...something like 4 shots...so I'm certainly not looking forward to that. Of course before that, she's having her tonsils and adnoids removed next Tuesday. She doesn't know about it yet, but I'm freaking out enough for the both of us! Anyway, I've been meaning to call to chat and see if you guys want to go out to dinner or something...it's been forever since I've seen Wyatt, and I can't believe how big he's getting!
My sweetie survived the peds visit. He is a growing BIG boy!
Love and kisses to all.
Mimi
