Baptism Day

Wyatt was Baptized today at Pax Christi Catholic Church after 11am Mass. My grandparents, Mom, Dad, Matt, Rachel and Javi and Carol came to Mass with us and then Aunt Hope, my Aunt Mary Kaye and Nina, and Steve, Jessica and Jayca met us afterwards for the ceremony. Father Edelen and the pastoral associate Melissa Holland were ready and waiting for us after church at the Baptismal font in the back of church. It was a short and sweet ceremony but it was so nice to have some many family and friends there with us. Wyatt actually fell asleep toward the end of the ceremony and he smelled so good from the Christening oils on his forehead. If you really want to see the whole ceremony, Uncle Matt videotaped for us and it will be posted on youtube sometime tomorrow. I'll post a link when it is uploaded.

Here are some still photos from the church in the meantime...
Afterwards we headed back to our house for all kinds of yummy food. We had quite the spread and I am looking forward to munching on the leftovers this week! (Especially the strawberry cake) We had about 25 people in the house and since it was 90+ degrees outside, it was about that hot inside too! Our A/C unit downstairs just couldn't handle all the people, but we had plenty of cold drinks and ice cream to help cool us down.

Here is a picture of Wyatt with his Godparents. Michael's best friend Javi and my sister Rachel.

We had a wonderful day of food, friends and family. It doesn't get much better than this! Now I'm exhausted and I must go to bed. I'll try to post more pictures this week!
P.S. To our friends and family that were with us today, send me pictures if you took some. I'm usually the one taking pictures and I obviously didn't get to take any at the church and I'd love to see what everyone took.

I was at the mass sitting next to you!!!!! People will think I'm a heathen!!!! Just kidding. I am soooo happy for you. I kinda teared up when I saw you and Mikey and Wyatt with the priest. I just thank God everyday you have your family you waited so long for! Love you! - Aunt Hope who was at the service before the baptism.

We are very happy that Wyatt is now sealed in a covenant with God. May God look over his precious child. Mike and Nicole are doing a super job, and with
Mimi and Pop there, Wyatt is blessed. The only regret is that we are not closer, but this web site helps us see Wyatt grow.

Love Opa and Abuelita
