Mimi came up this morning to stay with Wyatt so Daddy could go to work. I called and was able to get an appointment for 5pm so I just left work a little early and came home to pick up Mimi and Wyatt. We didn't have to wait long at all and we got to see the doctor (as opposed to the PA who is not my favorite). First they weighed Wyatt and he was a hefty 16lbs, 4oz! Then the doctor came in and listened to his chest and told us that his lungs were completely clear and the cough is just allergy drainage. She wrote him a prescription for Zyrtec which is what mommy and daddy take. I didn't think he was old enough to have that yet, but since he is in his 6th month (and quite a healthy size at that) she said it was fine to start him on this and hopefully he will feel much better, very soon. She also gave us prescriptions for some topical cream and a moisturizing gel for the eczema on his face. We've tried just about everything that has been recommended and nothing seems to fix it permanently so maybe this will do the trick.
Mimi even got to feed Wyatt some green beans tonight and he did pretty well with them. I think we'll move on to sweet potatoes sometime this week. Stay tuned for new video!
So Wyatt is headed back to daycare tomorrow and Mimi will head home in the morning so she can get Pop on a plane to Denver for the rest of the week.

I made it back to L'ville. We all survived the trip to the doctor. Wyatt gets to join the allergy train with the rest of the KY passengers. I enjoyed seeing and playing with Wyatt. He just had to show off eating those green beans for me!!!

My son had eczema too, and his has a prescription for it as well. Something over the counter that I use all the time as a lotion that helps too is...Aquaphor(if it isn't too bad I mix it with Aveeno lotion other wise I use straight aquaphor). Also watch out for sunscreens- again I use Aveeno (hypoallergenic etc.... I hope that you find this helpful:)
