Puppy Love

As some of you know, we recently had to relocate a member of our family. The day after Wyatt's birthday, Jack nipped at Wyatt and left some cuts on his face. It was not an "attack" and it wasn't unprovoked but it happened and so we had to remove Jack from the house. Thankfully Aunt Hope was willing and able to take him in so now Jack is living at Hope's and hanging out with Cousin Clifford. The two dogs already got along very well so aside from Jack missing us, he is adjusing pretty well. The first couple of days were very hard to come home to the house without a crazy barking dog to greet us. Fortunately we still get to see him whenever we visit Hope or when she needs doggie sitting services.

The whole incident really never phased Wyatt. He isn't afraid of Jack at all, in fact when we came home from the ER that night he went right up to Jack and hugged him. Jack and Clifford are at our house now while we are doggie sitting for Hope and we just keep the dogs upstairs while only one of us is watching Wyatt. If we are both sitting in the family room with Wyatt, one will give the dogs love while the other keeps an eye on Wyatt. They both love to play with Wyatt but definitely know to excuse themselves when Wyatt gets too loud or active.

Wyatt has his stuffed puppy, aptly named "Puppy", that he MUST sleep with. Grandma Fay recently sent Wyatt a big mommy dog and smaller puppy dog that he had admired at her house. He was carrying them around this morning and loving on them and it was so cute I just had to take some pictures.

Those puppies are easier to handle than the real thing! Especially when you don't have to take them out to potty.
