Saturday evening we went to church and then to dinner and then got on the road headed toward our first Disney adventure with Wyatt. We decided to leave later in the evening in hopes that Wyatt would be worn out and sleep the majority of the way. He did fall asleep pretty quickly and the first leg of the journey went well until about the time we hit middle Tennessee. He woke up screaming and of course since you aren't supposed to get him out of the car seat, we had to pull over and calm him down. We stopped at a gas station around midnight, about 3 1/2 hours into the trip, and let him walk around and topped off the gas tank. Soon we were back on our way and he settled back in to sleep for a bit longer.
The rest of the evening is kind of fuzzy and I know we had to stop a couple more times and we all finally pooped out at a rest stop somewhere in southern Georgia around 5am. Pop was going to stop to rest his eyes for 15 minutes and about an hour later we all woke up to daylight. After that power nap, we all felt better and we continued for another hour or so until we were ready to stop for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Once we all had good food in our bellies, we were feeling much better and only had another 2 hours left to get to our destination. We pulled into the resort just before noon and luckily we were able to get into our room pretty much right away. In the time it took Pop to check in, we explored the gift store, main pool and sandy jungle gym play area.

We unloaded the car and quickly changed in our swim suits and went straight to the pool! Aunt Rachel and Uncle Jay took Wyatt to the pool while Michael and I got ready to swim. When we arrived at the pool, Wyatt was sitting on the first step and did not want to venture out any further. Michael grabbed him and pulled him in the water and he fussed for a few seconds and then was happy and splashing. We were a little worried since he did not want to swim at Steve and Jess's house last weekend, but the water here is significantly warmer so it was really just a giant bath to him.
After we dried off, Wyatt showed Uncle Jay how to play with his toys.
